YES! You Can Go Fine Dining Without Giving Your Child A Tablet

Showing you the magic:

I just discovered one of the best tools for entertaining my small children in “routinely quiet” public spaces. This includes doctor’s appointments, meetings, and FINE DINING. Not only is this tool inexpensive but it’s eco friendly. So without further or do, I’d like to introduce the infinity pad ! The reusable LCD writing pad. I know, I know this already exists in a different form . However, this pad supersedes the etch a sketch, and the magic board because it's lighter and it writes in color. I picked mine up at my local Home Goods store, but I also found similar LCD pads on Amazon. These kinds of pads can also fall under the name "scratch and sketch", "doodle board", or "reusable writing screens".

If we're being totally honest:

These days it’s super easy to pass the phone or tablet to a fussy 3 year old, no matter the location. It’s especially convenient when your occupying a quiet space like a nice restaurant. My husband and I normally go to fine dining places and bring our two children (2,5) right

along with us. The wait for food and drinks can be brutal to them (they don’t have any real concept of time), and it can in turn become unpleasant for us.Expecting the restaurants to have something entertaining for our children is hit or miss, with mostly the latter. Some restaurants carry the RGB crayon packs, some have games you can pay for on the order kiosk, some have nothing. So I carry this thing around like a first aid kit. It’s light weight and can be found for 12.99 and under! Children can write, play tick tac toe, and draw without wasting paper. Now, to help reduce the “been there done that” response this toy only comes out during specific times. This maintains its "freshness" every time. Sort of like a toy rotation. It’s not used in the house, or the car. Only appointments , restaurants and, meetings. So the next time “I spy” isn’t doing the trick, and shushing is becoming more abundant try using an infinity pad .
